Software that does not need explaining
Most business software is bought by one person and endured by another. We want to build the opposite: tools that the people who use them every day would actually choose themselves, in industries that have been sold complexity for so long they stopped expecting anything else.
One industry at a time, properly
To build a small number of products, each one good enough that its first customer gets value on its first day, and to keep them honest: what the software does is what we say it does, and no claim outlives the code behind it.
How we work
Four things we hold to, because they are the ones that usually get dropped.
Set up without us
If a customer needs our team to change their own settings, the product has failed at its main job.
Say what it does
Every claim we publish is checked against the software rather than against the brochure. We would rather be believed than sound impressive.
Few moving parts
Fewer dependencies, fewer services, fewer things to go wrong at four in the afternoon on a Friday.
What we are building
Two products today, in two industries that have nothing to do with each other, which is deliberate.
Valence Easy Loyalty
A white label loyalty platform for UK independent shops. Members join by scanning a printed code, with no app to download, and it works beside the till a shop already has.
ITSM Financial Command Center
Turns an IT service desk's tickets into money: what inefficiency costs, what liability is sitting in the open queue, and what next month's workload looks like. For the people who have to answer to a board for IT.
